Teaching a toddler to eat with silverware is no easy feat, but a Russian mother and her daughter have conquered the challenge in a unique and inspiring way.
A clip of young Vasilina, who was born without arms, gripping a fork between her toes and feeding herself has inspired and humbled everyone who has watched it.
The 17-second video posted by Vasilina’s mother, Elmira Knutzen, has been viewed nearly 60 million times and has been shared more than a million times.
The touching tot, determined to chomp down on what looks like a potato, opens her mouth wide for her snack but has to adjust her cutlery with her toes before being able to successfully eat.
“For Vasilina’s fans,” the mother captioned the clip in which she laughs with joy over her daughter’s triumphant bite.
Since Knutzen posted the video last week, astonished viewers have flooded her with positive comments, most them calling her youngster “inspirational,” “beautiful,” and “strong.”
